iProcurement: FAQ for Internet Procurement Favorites List

1.  What is the difference between Public Shopping lists and Favorite Lists?

Answer
------
A personal shopping list is a Favorites List you create for yourself. Search for the items you frequently request, select them, and click Save to My List. You can even save items from a non-catalog request in this way.

Later, you can access this list by clicking Shopping List in the Shop page. Any time you need an item on your favorites list, select it from the list and add it to your shopping cart and proceed to checkout like you would any other requisition.

A public list (this is also referred to as a corporate list) consists of requisition templates that your company has created for frequently needed items. For example, you can create a template called Computer Equipment that is always used to request a computer for a new employee. The requisition may consist of a hard drive, monitor, mouse, and keyboard.  You can select and place this
requisition again every time you have a new employee, or select only certain items from the requisition.

2. How can a frequently ordered item be reordered?
Answer
---------
There are two ways to do this:
a.- Search for the item, select it, and click 'Save to My List'. This can even be done while the item is being ordered.  The 'Save to My List' functionality adds the item to a favorites list; later on, this list can be accessed by clicking 'Shopping List' in the Shop page.  Any time an item from the favorites list is desired, it can be selected and the user can then proceed to checkout as with any other order.

b.- From the Order Status page, select an order that is still open and click 'Copy to Cart'; changes can then be made to the order, if desired, before proceeding to checkout.

3.  Is the Favorites List available in 10.7, 11, 11i, and 12?
Answer
------
Yes, the Favorites List is available in each application version.

4. What happens if a item is saved to the Favorites List in foreign currency?
Answer
------
When a item is saved to the Favorites List which is not in the user's currency, a conversion on the unit_price is done and the price is stored in the POR_FAVORITE_LIST_LINES table. This validation is done at the time of saving the item to the Favorites List.

5.  Is it possible to share a person shopping list?

- Requisition Templates are intended to provide "public" shopping list functionality.
- Shopping Lists created by the user are tied to that user.  Each user will have to create and
maintain their own shopping list if Requisition Templates are not utilized.
